ELLA is a community-focused coffee produced by women-owned farms across several of Guatemala’s coffee-growing regions. The program was created to provide women producers with reliable market access while supporting education aimed at reducing production costs and improving yields.

This year’s coffee brings together six producers from farms across Nuevo Oriente, Fraijanes, and San Marcos. Among them is Ximena Fernandez, who took responsibility for her family’s farm following her father’s retirement and the unexpected loss of her older brother. Despite facing resistance as a woman managing the operation, she stepped into the role and successfully continued the farm’s production.

The resulting blend brings together Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuaí varieties for a rich, approachable profile with deep caramel sweetness, dark fruit, and nice nuttiness.
