Resguardo Indigena Cohetando – Colombia
Resguardo Indigena Cohetando – Colombia
This coffee comes from ASPROCAFÉ, an association of more than 50 producing families in the Cohetando Indigenous Reserve in Páez, Cauca. The region is remote and historically difficult to access, but its high elevations and growing conditions offer strong potential for quality.
Producers in the region deliver parchment to a centralized collection point, helping maintain consistency while navigating the logistical challenges of the area. Within the community, a cooperatively owned bodega is used to collect and organize coffee prior to export.
The producers are largely of Indigenous descent, and coffee is grown throughout the mountainous terrain surrounding the region. Careful washed processing and high-elevation growing conditions contribute to a clean, structured profile.
